The Boxee Box

Could this oddly shaped box change the way you consume media in your house? Hells yeah!

Earlier this week, Boxee announced that they would be releasing a new beta version of their popular media software as well as a Boxee Box that aims to bring unlimited media to your TV in 2010. The Boxee Box was designed by Astro Studios (the same folks that designed the Xbox 360 and Alienware PCs) and will be built by D-Link.

The device sports impressive features for such a tiny form factor with specs that include HDMI, SPDIF, 2 USB ports, Wireless 802.11n & Wired Ethernet as well as RF Remote Control. If you hate the restrictions of the AppleTV, this device is the answer to your prayers. The Boxee Box will be available sometime in the early part of 2010 for around $200.
